Meet the Real Shelter Dogs of Georgia… Adoptable Pups As Sweet As a Peach!

Meet the Real Shelter Dogs of Georgia… Adoptable Pups As Sweet As a Peach!

And not even one of them has a secret husband.

By Stacy Lenz

Atlanta is a groundbreaking city — if you can bring your own red Solo cup of wine to a vegan dinner party, what can’t you do? (Cough, looking at you Kim Zolciak-Biermann, cough.) And with the same gutsy gusto, LifeLine Animal Project is also breaking with norms and doing something a little different.

The shelter, located in Atlanta, and is a non-profit organization dedicated to end the euthanasia of healthy and treatable dogs and cats in metro Atlanta area. What started out as just a “virtual shelter” online has grown to have five physical locations, including managing Fulton County Animal Services and DeKalb County Animal Services open admission shelters, where they have increased adoptions by 300%.

They have recently made groundbreaking news by removing breed labels on adoptable dogs — and they hope to increase adoptions by encouraging the community to judge an animal based on their temperament descriptions and known personality, not assumptions based on breed.

And now get ready to judge some dogs based on their smiling, furry faces and meet your Real Shelter Dogs, complete with opening-credits worthy taglines!

“I like things that are sociable and fun, just like me.” – Juno

Three-year-old Juno adores people and transforms into a ball of wiggles when she gets around them. This cheerful girl has never met a stranger and gets along with other dogs too! She has learned how to sit at the shelter and will gladly learn more if it makes her human smile.

“Attitude is everything, and mine is pawsitive.” - Clyde

Clyde is a laid-back guy with a positive, can-do attitude! He is also smart and learned how to sit and shake at the shelter. Our staff has fallen head over heels for this handsome boy and we know you will too! There's even a video of Clyde linked here.

“My name is my brand and I’m ready to sell.” – My BFF Jill

My BFF Jill got her name because she is everyone's instant best friend! This laid back love bug is looking for endless snuggle sessions and lots of TV watching with her new family. You can see more of My BFF Jill in a video linked here.

I give the people what they want, and what they want are cuddles.” Ross

Ross is a super friendly guy who is all about snuggling and getting close. This toy-loving one year will climb in your lap with his favorite tennis ball and make himself comfy if you're ok with it, and would love to snuggle on the sofa with you during a Netflix marathon.

“Life is a runway, and Tyga is ready to walk it next to you.” – Tyga

Tyga is a terrific girl whose crazy cute ears sport a wind-swept look that will make you smile. This loving dog adores people and is good with everyone, including other dogs. Tyga also has great manners and walks nicely on a leash.

People say I am a picture perfect dog, and I am.” – Jackson

Jackson is a stylish guy who enjoys jumping around in freshly cut grass and showing off his impeccable manners. He loves meeting new people and cannot wait to meet you!
