When Jax Taylor married Brittany Cartwright on Saturday, June 29, the groom made sure to pay a special tribute to his late father. The Vanderpump Rules couple found a number of sweet ways to make sure their wedding decor honored Jax's dad, Ronald Cauchi, who passed away in December 2017 after a battle with cancer.

As guests arrived at the Kentucky Castle wedding venue, they were given paper fans which contained the wedding program and a tribute to Jax's dad, PEOPLE reports. "We know you'd be here today if heaven wasn't so far away," the fans read above Ronald's name and Brittany's late grandfather's name.

At the ceremony, a front-row seat was left empty, which the couple decorated with a photo of Jax's father, flowers, and his ashes. "My dad, always early," Jax captioned an Instagram photo taken right before the wedding, which shows the rows of empty seats including one for his dad.
