You'll Never Guess What Real Housewives Are Doing with Their Spare Bedrooms
We’re inspired by these Bravolebrities' space-saving tips, to say the least.
If someone were to conduct a poll of every woman in the United States inquiring whether they are happy with the size of their closet… I’m betting a very small percentage would actually find theirs big enough. I mean, we always need more space to house our ever-expanding wardrobes, not to mention our shoes, bags, jewelry, sunglasses, scarves, and more.
Well, Bravolebrities are giving us some major #closetinspo when it comes to this totally real-life conundrum. How are they handling too-small closets that simply won’t do? They’re turning a spare bedroom or room into a closet! Because, well, who do we love more — our guests or our beloved clothes and accessories? OK, let’s not answer that. Instead, let’s see how a few Real Housewives and Vanderpump Rules pals are taking care of business in their homes!
Tinsley Mortimer
Proving hotel life is truly the best life, Tinsley recently gave Home & Design a tour of her apartment in The Marmara Park Avenue Hotel and the good news is that the socialite is no longer storing her clothes in the oven! (Watch the full tour of her closet above!) Nope, Tinsley has given herself a major upgrade by taking over a spare bedroom in the hotel, making it her closet. While she admits that the space is not an organizer’s dream, The Real Housewives of New York City pal says it’s her favorite room in the apartment.
Scheana Shay
Her move to Marina Del Rey may have caused some major controversy — The traffic! The gigantic building! — but Scheana loves it because of the stunning water views and sunsets, and because it gives her ample room for glam time. That’s right, the Vanderpump Rules singer opted to turn her extra bedroom into a makeup/glam space, complete with racks of sunglasses, a Hollywood-level vanity station (just like the one we spied in Tamra Judge’s former glam room!), a cozy chaise, and even an oversize portrait of, you guessed it, herself.
Stassi Schroeder
If we know one thing about the Vanderpump Rules podcaster, it’s that she loves her clothes. I mean, she did found the National OOTD Day, after all! Thankfully, her two-bedroom West Hollywood pad accommodates her massive wardrobe. When giving us a tour of the second bedroom, she said, “I like to call it my shoe room slash office slash podcasting area slash storage unit slash guest bedroom.” And even Stassi’s boyfriend, Beau Clark, knows what’s up, telling Home & Design recently that he can’t move into her apartment because "there’s no space. She’s got another bedroom that has clothes, and her second bedroom is a closet and shoe place and I don’t even know where — we’d have to find a three-bedroom, four-bedroom!” True love: when your man understands your love of clothes.
Kyle Richards
Today Kyle finds herself in a gorgeous $8 million mansion in Encino, California that likely includes a sprawling closet (we know she’s got an in-home salon!), but in her former home, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills producer worked with her BFF and interior designer Faye Resnick to transform the home gym into a luxurious closet — or, as she described it to The Los Angeles Times a few years ago, a “dressing room.” Oozing with glamour, the spaced included a gorgeous mirrored vanity, velvet sofas, furry pillows, and an insane shoe/bag/clothing collection.
If you’re like me, than you’re sold on this genius concept. Let’s all start telling our guests to book a hotel room!
