Katie Maloney-Schwartz Is Moving… and Admits Packing “Sucks”
The Vanderpump Rules beauty maven is having trouble whittling down all of her stuff while moving.
We’ve all been there: When you’re so totally excited to move into a new home… but you have to get there first. And by get there, we mean pack up all of your stuff and move it to the new space. It’s SO much work, and Vanderpump Rules’ Katie Maloney-Schwartz is currently in the thick of it.
“I think I have enough lip stuff? This is edited down, too. I Maried Kondo-ed this s--t and I still have that many!” she said on her Instagram Stories while showing her followers plastic bin after bin chock full of beauty supplies. “I went through makeup, and I have palettes here and here and that’s not counting all this stuff but hey I threw out so much so this is actually progress. Oh god, packing sucks!”
Where is the Witches of WeHo winemaker moving? We’re still not sure, but we do know that she and her husband, Tom Schwartz, are in the process of buying a home. “Yeah, we might be in escrow? I haven’t told anyone… until now!” she announced on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen last month.
Before saying goodbye to her current apartment, Katie is determined to get rid of unnecessary clutter and she’s turning to Japanese organizational guru Kondo for a little help. “I mean as many times I’ve moved, it still blows my mind how much crap there is to, ya know, pack, and I want to be organized, because when I get there I don’t want to have to then decide what I’m gonna throw away,” she explained in an Instagram Story video. “So, it’s like, ya know, trying to see if it brings me any freaking joy and then throw it in a box. So, it’s taken me a couple of days to do this.”
But Katie isn’t alone in her packing misery. That’s right, the Vanderpump Rules cast is officially growing up… because they’re all buying homes! Tom Sandoval and Ariana Madix recently spent $2 million on a stunning new construction property, and Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright just announced this week that they’re also currently purchasing a house.
Not to be outdone, Lala Kent and her fiancé, Randall Emmett, are continuing to gut renovate the home they share (that we saw on Flipping Out!)… and will Stassi Schroeder and Beau Clark move in together? Well, that still remains to be seen. But we're here for it all, regardless of what happens!
