Kristen Doute’s Gold Fireplace Is So Her
The Vanderpump Rules designer opted for a bit of flash in the living room.
It's been a true delight to watch as Kristen Doute has spent the last several month transforming the first actual home she ever bought for herself, a fixer-upper, into her own personal sanctuary that reflects her style and personality.
The Vanderpump Rules designer ingeniously turned the second bedroom into a dream closet, which is organized for maximum visual and functional satisfaction. The outdoor area has been filled with lots of plants and a lawn and now features a boho lounge for high-level chillage with her friends day or night. Her office, where she solidifies the ideas and moves for her design company, James Mae, has a wonderfully open feel and a swinging '70s vibe that's great for having big meetings at home.
Her kitchen is a chef's dream that drips with enviable copper details and brand new appliances. And her living room features a big screen television and a fireplace with a brilliant slash of gold around its perimeter to match the natural wood floors and the nearby blonde furniture piece (as well as the highlights in her hair), a subtle but impactful design decision that is worth emulating.
The hizzy is definitely looking pretty!
