There are all kinds of reasons to be envious of Stassi, Brittany, Ariana, and Kristen—but if I’m totally honest, for me it’s all about their hair. Unlike mine, the Vanderpump Rules ladies’ strands never fall flat... or lose their wave… or look anything other than perfectly put together, no matter what drama's going down.

Turns out, though, the women of SUR didn’t need to win the genetic lottery to look so good. The secret: a hairstylist who helps them make the most of their assets — whether their hair is fine or thick, wavy or stick-straight.

“When it comes to styling your hair, don’t fight a battle you aren’t going to win. Instead, work with what you’ve got!” Bradley Leake, a hairsylist, explained. “Creating the right texture for your hairstyle is all about the right products,” he added, before sharing the Holy-Grail creams, sprays, and powders responsible for some of your favorite Vanderpump Rules hairstyles. 

“This look was inspired by Ariana’s outfit for the night — a chic strapless jumpsuit,” Leake said, explaining the first step was to add length to her chin-length bob using hidden crown hair extensions. He then added grit to her ponytail with Oribe Swept-Up Volumizing Powder. His tip: “Less is definitely more with this product! A little bit goes a long way.”

“Playing dress-up is fun, and changing up your hairstyle is no exception,” Leake said of the touchable curls he created for Brittany using an extra-small curling wand to fake a naturally curly texture. Key to the look: a pea-sized amount of Color Wow One-Minute Transformation Cream run mid-shaft to ends. “It instantly eliminates frizz, absorbing into the hair without leaving a sticky or oily residue,” he explained.

For the Witches of Weho wine launch, Leake gave Kristen waves that were tousled but touchable. “Kristen runs her hands through her hair all day, so making sure the product is lightweight but not too heavy is key,” Leake noted. That Holy Grail product: Ouai Dry Shampoo Foam. “It adds all-over hold, thickness, and grit for instant 'I’m from Paris' undone texture — like a pomade but without the weight,” he explained.

"'I woke up like this — but better' is how I would describe this texture,” Leake said of the soft, sexy waves he created for Stassi by misting Kristen Ess Thickening Spray through her hair before blow drying. His trick: not overdoing it with the product. “This is especially important for those of you with skinny strands,” he cautioned.
