1. Don't say something super rude...
2. Then apologize for the super rude insult...
3. And then admit that even though you apologized, you still believe the super rude thing you said!
During last week's season 5 premiere of Vanderpump Rules, James Kennedy and Lala Kent threw some major shade at the other SURvers calling the group fat. As Lala and James approached the group at an event Lala said, "Everybody here has not been working on their summer bodies" and then James followed that dig up with another insult by asking Katie, "Wait are you pregnant? Oh my God, congratulations!"
On Monday's episode James found it within himself to "apologize" to Katie for his comments. "I take it back, I apologize," he says to Katie. However Katie quickly questions the authenticity of James' apology and rightfully so because we immediately see James in interview saying, "If I called you fat and didn't really think it, then why would I call you fat? Probably won't say it again to your face, but do I still think it? Obviously, I said it.”
Takeaway lesson: If you really want to be forgiven for something terrible you've said, you should probably actually feel sorry.
