James Kennedy and Raquel Leviss Are "Working Hard" Toward Achieving Their Dream Home

James Kennedy and Raquel Leviss are building a fabulous life together. Whether they’re celebrating special events and holidays with one another or simply whipping up some delicious meals on an average day, the Vanderpump Rules couple is settling into domestic life quite well. In fact, the pair even has some major plans in store for the future and recently shared them with Bravo Insider. 

Over the past year—which mostly consisted of staying home to prevent the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19)—James and Raquel found a silver lining in spending quality time together. The duo got the opportunity to focus on their relationship and home life like never before.

“Without the DJing, without the parties…without everything that LA life has to offer, we still love hanging out with each other and being with each other every day,” James said during a phone interview, to which Raquel chimed in to add she was happy to embrace the lifestyle of “chilling and being a homebody.” 

Like many who have found themselves spending more time at home, the couple has been making changes to their apartment. Aside from admittedly going “a little crazy” when it was time to decorate for the holidays, they’ve created a beautiful space full of calming details that make staying inside all the more relaxing. The SURver describes the style of their abode as “modernish,” citing her penchant for neutral tones, specifically gray and tan. 

“It’s fresh, yet cozy,” Raquel said of their recently decorated bedroom, which features furnishings in her favorite hues and even a few subtle pops of pink. Raquel added to the California vibe of the room by including soothing string lights and greenery both with plants and a massive tropical banana leaves print. She also teased that she’s currently working on the bathroom and plans to share a look at her vision soon. 

Despite all of the ways they’ve infused their personalities into their Los Angeles apartment, James and Raquel would like to set some roots down in a house of their own… and it sounds like their adorable dog, Graham Cracker the mini goldendoodle, has played a role in that decision. 

“Growing up, I was never allowed dogs. My parents moved around so much, and I just remember my dad being like, ‘No, you’re not getting a dog,’ my whole life. So getting Graham was just like the best thing ever. I couldn’t imagine going through this entire thing without him. We are definitely a trio unit fam,” James explained, adding that they’d love to welcome some more furry friends to the crew, but only after they can achieve their goal of getting a house together. 

“We definitely want some space. We want a garden, you know? And it being as hot as it is, we want a pool as well, eventually,” the DJ explained. “But we’re working hard. I’m working hard towards that pool.”
