Lala Kent Reveals the Beauty Secret That's Been in Her Family for Generations
It's an unusual routine, but the Vanderpump Rules mom-to-be swears by it for combatting "crow's feet."
There’s no denying that Lala Kent is a full-fledged beauty guru. The Vanderpump Rules cast member leads a pretty glam-focused life, whether she’s adding chic new products to her cosmetics line, Give Them Lala Beauty, or donating lip glosses and highlighter to frontline workers. Despite all of the waves she makes in the beauty business, the mama-to-be is still holding on to a tried-and-true hack that’s been in her family for years.
In a recent Instagram Story, Lala took her followers along as she completed her nighttime routine. She keyed us in on an incredibly simple step she swears by: applying Vaseline to her eyelids.
Holding up a big tub of Vaseline, Lala noted, “I buy them in bulk. I have like, seven of these, just sitting because I go through them.” She then demonstrated how she carefully applies the product around her eyelids and under-eyes, making sure to use her ring fingers “because my mom says they’re the least strong.”
“I do this every night. Or, let’s just say I’m traveling and I don’t wear makeup when I travel, I will put this on. Because it moisturizes around your eyes and helps so you don’t get crows feet. That’s why I do it!” she explained, explaining where she got the inspiration. “My grandma did it. My great-grandmama did it, here we go. Walk around with just Vaseline on my eyes, like I’m about to box or something.”
Lala recently got super candid about her skin, opening up about the ways in which it has changed since she became pregnant.
“Since getting pregnant, A LOT of things are changing…including my skin deciding to have a meltdown at the age of 30” she explained in a recent Instagram post, noting that the acne she’s been experiencing is a result of hormonal changes.
“Usually, I would be really insecure about something like this, waiting until it cleared up for me to leave the house, or using my awesome editing apps to fake y'all out. Today I just want to show real life."
