Leave It to the Vanderpump Rules Cast to Show Us How to Drink Together, Separately
As the spread of coronavirus has the SUR crew self-isolating in their respective homes, Dayna Kathan sparked a fun way to stay connected.
Not even social distancing can stop the Vanderpump Rules cast members from drinking together.
Amid the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), which has resulted in many people staying home as much as possible, Dayna Kathan found a way to keep the party going: virtual drinking.
"Let's play a game," she captioned a Monday, March 16, Instagram Story video of her taking a shot of tequila. "Take one, send a [f--k] ton, repost the original - do your own- add more people."
She added: "Everything will be ok you guys!! let's drink together, separately."
In the post, she tagged several cast members, including Ariana Madix, Katie Maloney-Schwartz, Brittany Cartwright, Kristen Doute, Scheana Shay, Danica Dow, and Tom Schwartz, among other friends.
Ariana was quick to respond, but had a slightly different idea when it came to her beverage of choice. "I'm taking green shots," she wrote in her own video. "At least til the sun goes down!"
Kristen, clad in a white sweatshirt, chose to take her drink while listening to Tiffany's "I Think We're Alone Now." Danica, meanwhile, thanked Dayna for starting the activity as she downed quickly downed a shot in her video. She also added colorful text from Instagram's GIPHY feature that read: "I need a quarantini."
Accepting the challenge from Danica, Peter Madrigal opted for a glass of red wine, explaining: "No chance for hard liquor right now."
Unfortunately, the SURvers will have to keep their drinking in a virtual setting for the foreseeable future. On Monday, March 16, SUR, along with some of Lisa Vanderpump's restaurants including Tom Tom, Villa Blanca and Pump, announced that they are temporarily closing their doors amid the global health crisis.
"It saddens us to have to do this, but with the advisement of the government and local authorities, we have closed our restaurants until further notice," Tom Tom posted in a message on their official Instagram page. "These are scary times right now, but nothing is more important than the health and safety of our employees and guests."
Some of the groups other cast members are hunkering down together. Stassi Schroeder and Beau Clark are living with Katie and Tom until their home, currently in the midst of renovations, becomes "livable," and Kristen is temporarily residing with Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor. While passing the time by looking through old photos on Sunday, March 15, Kristen shared in an Instagram post that she was "quarantined at Britt’s and reminiscing about simpler times.”
