Rock stars are known for having over-the-top food requests on their riders — no surprise there. But Billy Joel is one who takes it upon himself to deliver on his own unusual needs and desires.
So his story goes, Adam and pal Paul Rudd were in Long Island, New York a few years back to meet the singer and film some scenes for a fake documentary of the making of Bosom Buddies, the gender-bending '80s sitcom starring Tom Hanks and Peter Scolari that they were re-creating for the Adult Swim network.
"We went out to dinner that night, we went to his favorite Italian restaurant," Adam (who stars in the upcoming FOX series Ghosted) told Andy. "Brought his own clams, gave them to the waiter — it was amazing!"
Billy is a strong supporter of the Baymen of Oyster Bay Harbor in Long Island and is supporting the group's efforts to fundraise for the making of a documentary called The Bay of Imbalance.
