Sofía Vergara says she didn’t want to see the entirety of Catherine Zeta-Jones’ performance as Griselda Blanco in 2017’s Cocaine Godmother because she wanted to do something different for her iteration of the character. She reveals that she had read the script for Griselda before Cocaine Godmother started up. She’s unsure if she was offered the role in Griselda before or after Catherine Zeta-Jones’ turn as the Colombian drug lord, but she knows she was ready to bring Griselda to life in her own way.
