Anyone who knows me knows that I love an unlikely duo. Putting together two random people who have nothing to do with each other can only mean hilarity. Thus, the tripleplay of Levi Johnston, ATL's Dwight, and Vanessa Hudgens all on Watch What Happens Live tonight at midnight is entertaining (to me).
I need Dwight to weigh in on everything from Kim to Dale Talde's outburst at Michael Chiarello on last night's Top Chef Masters. The man has opinions!
Last night was a long one that began at Vlada for a party celebrating Watch What Happpens Live. The 51st Street bar is a fantastic spot for cocktailing and some awesome people turned out to say hi.
We took our empty stomachs to DB Bistro on 44th Street, which is Daniel Boloud's more casual (tho still v. pricey) shingle. The burger has a hunk of foi gras in the middle that explains it's delicious-ness and $32 pricetag. I pulled a Wade Boggs and had the chicken. The food is phe-nom, and in this economy you can walk right in and get a table.
From there I headed to Cafe 1,2,3 for a post-show dinner with John Benjamin Hickey and his castmates from Mary Stuart, which is closing on Sunday. (If you haven't seen it, try to get a ticket.) Very late into the night I found myself fighting a losing argument: nobody needs/wants to see Jude Law in Hamlet. In the light of today, this doesn't seem controversial, but at 1:30 am the cheese stood alone. I am sure it'll be a huge hit.
We're having a programming and development offsite all day and I have to get my brain into TV gear .... So have a good day and see you at midnight.
