Who Won Top Chef: Last Chance Kitchen This Season?

Check out which cheftestant headed back to the main Top Chef competition.

By Carl Haynes

After a Cheftestant packs their knives and exits the Top Chef Season 21 kitchen, their journey isn't over — not yet at least. An eliminated chef is given the chance to compete for redemption on Last Chance Kitchen.

During each episode this season, cheftestants battled in a challenge picked by Top Chef lead judge, Tom Colicchio. The chefs with the worst dishes packed their knives for good, while the winning chef returned to main competition.

Read on to relive the entire season of Top Chef: Last Chance Kitchen, which was filled with unexpected surprises — including two absent Top Chef competitors and a new cheftestant.

Who competed in Last Chance Kitchen Season 21, Episode 2?

Valentine Howell Jr. competed against Soo Ahn, who became the 16th cheftestant in the overall competition.

Chef Valentine was eliminated in Episode 2 of Top Chef, during which the cheftestants had to transform everyday bar snacks into elevated dishes.

Chef Soo is the Executive Chef at Adalina, an "upscale Italian" eatery in Chicago. He has an extensive background in fine dining cuisine after having worked in some of the best restaurants in downtown Chicago. He's originally from Seoul, South Korea and Tacoma, Washington.

Tom said Soo would have to compete in and win five Last Chance Kitchen challenges to be able to enter the main competition.
