Was Andy Cohen Once Approached to Do His Own Version of The Bachelor?!?

Andy Cohen might be back on the market these days after his split from the man he affectionately referred to as the "Brazilian Andy Samberg," but don't expect to see the Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen host start looking for love on the small screen. “I host Love Connection and that’s as close as I’m going to get to a dating show," he recently told The Hollywood Reporter, playing it coy about if he's currently out there looking for a new partner, simply sharing, “The night is young.” (The subject of Andy's love life was also a hot topic on Monday's WWHL, as you can see in the clip above.)

That being said, the WWHL host did reveal in the interview that years ago he was approached by the casting director for The Bachelor. About that offer, he told THR, “I just said, ‘I am so gay, so unless you’re going to do a gay version, I don’t think that’s going to work.'"

Back in March, when he confirmed his relationship status, he shared what he's looking for in a guy these days: “Someone who’s very independent, someone who has their own thing going on. Maybe someone who’s never seen The Real Housewives. I mean, I could go on ... So yes that's what I'm looking for.”
