Bugsy Drake Has 3 Fail-Proof Tips for Creating Epic Tablescapes
The Below Deck Med second stew is famous for her unforgettable set ups — and she's sharing her secrets.
Christine “Bugsy” Drake is the undisputed queen of tablescapes. The New York Times once referred to the Below Deck Mediterranean second stew as “perhaps the greatest tablescape artist who has ever lived,” and she’s got plenty of stunning designs to back that claim up with. From her diamond-covered dining table to Pinterest-worthy cocktails, the yachtie is highly skilled at creating gorgeous set-ups. In fact, Bugsy’s tablescapes are so inspiring, they’ve even influenced some of her own outfit choices!
Now, Bugsy is sharing some of her best tips for creating jaw-dropping tablescapes — which is a pretty important skill to have, by the way. Besides simply creating an enjoyable environment for guests...they’re also surprisingly a great way to gain a bit of flirtatious attention. Alex Radcliffe once said he’s “absolutely” turned on by Bugsy’s creations!
In an August 27 Instagram post, Bugsy revealed how she kills the tablescape game every single time, using some photos of a red, green, and purple setup as an example.
Bugsy’s first tip is to play with different colors, which is most definitely a risk we’ve seen her take before. Next, she suggests using “different textures” throughout the setup. (If you look closely, you’ll notice that she used pomegranate seeds to add some additional flair.) Finally, Bugsy mentioned the importance of using “different levels and heights.”
The ultra-creative yachtie even shared an extra bit of advice, writing, “BONUS TIP for evening settings: incorporating candles/fairy lights.”
Below, take a look at some of Bugsy’s most unforgettable tablescapes:
