Natasha De Bourg Opens Up About the Goals She Has For Her Culinary Career
The Below Deck Sailing Yacht chef has already worked in Michelin-star restaurants. So what's next?
Natasha De Bourg has had a pretty incredible career so far. Before becoming a chef on Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 2, she has worked at top Michelin-star restaurants and was even an executive chef in France. So what’s next for Natasha? The skilled culinary professional recently opened up about her career goals, and they sound pretty fantastic.
In a series of Instagram Stories shared on March 23, Natasha answered some questions from her followers about her career and cooking in general. When asked if she has ever considered opening a restaurant in her native Trinidad, Natasha explained that she would “Honestly, I will really like to open a school! To teach the fundamentals of what was shown to me through experience and travel.”
Natasha also opened up about where the inspiration behind her cooking comes from. “I think everything,” she wrote. “My culture, other cultures, and other great chefs.” In response to her “favorite question,” which asked for her to share her “fav Trini food,” Natasha shared, “[Eggplant] and sada, dhal, rice bahaji, pelau, macaroni pie, stew chicken, doubles.” Natasha even dished about one of her favorite restaurants, noting that “Nobu Monaco is my fav.”
Although Natasha had plenty of culinary-related gems to share with her followers, she did have one surprising question when asked what kind of a dinner she would cook on a Sunday night if she had to prepare food for just herself. “I just may order something,” Natasha wrote. “I don’t wanna do dishes just for me!”
