Below Deck's Abbi Murphy Debuts a New, Shorter Haircut: "It's a Lot More Manageable"
After her hair caused a bit of debate on Below Deck, the former deckhand decided to go for a big chop.
Abbi Murphy has many talents — but alas, mastering the art of the yachtie updo was not one of them. (For that, you'll need to watch Kate Chastain and learn.) During her time aboard the Valor, the spirited deckhand let her wild red curls hang long and loose — much to the chagrin of some of her coworkers. Chef Kevin Dobson once fretted that her locks would get tangled up in horseradish, while Captain Lee was sure Abbi's hair would get caught in something and cause a docking disaster.
In the end, Abbi decided that yacht life was simply not for her. (Catch up on her exit from the Valor here.) However, in a surprise turn of events, it turns out that a shorter coif suits her nicely.
In a recent Instagram post, the former deckhand showed off a shoulder-length hairstyle. Her hair is still full of body and fiery red, but it takes a little less time to tame it these days. Tweeting about her new beauty look, Abbi had to admit: "It’s a lot more manageable now lol."
