Captain Lee's Wife Mary Anne Changed Her Wedding Ring to Remember Their Late Son
"This is what we have done in remembrance of our precious son Joshua, who left us one year ago today," said the Below Deck captain.
Captain Lee Rosbach and his wife, Mary Anne, have found a meaningful way to remember their late son, Joshua Lee Rosbach, a year after his passing. Joshua passed at the age of 42 on July 22, 2019, after a 20-year struggle with addiction. In a heartfelt post, the Below Deck captain shared a photo of the changes Mary Anne has made to her wedding ring to create a tribute for their son.
“This is what we have done in remembrance of our precious son Joshua, who left us one year ago today. We took my bride’s wedding ring, had the center diamond replaced with a heart and some of Josh’s ashes placed inside the heart, and his name inscribed on the outside and then soldered shut,” explained Captain Lee. “This way, Mary Anne can keep a part of him with her always.”
In another Instagram post, Captain Lee shared a message to describe what the past year has been like for the Rosbach family, and to thank those who have since supported them.
“It was a year ago today that my bride, Mary Anne and I lost our beloved Son Josh to his demons. The struggle continues, but we’re getting [through] it. Thanks to all of you out there for your unconditional support, it does not go unnoticed, and touches me in the very depths of my soul. We are both very grateful for the random acts of love and kindness that continue to come our way,” he wrote. “To Josh, we will always carry you in our hearts and will do so until our souls leave our bodies to join you. We love you and are very proud of the kind and loving person you were.”
