Kate Chastain Explains Why She Looks Different Lately

Life after Below Deck certainly suits Kate Chastain. The former chief stew joined current cast member Francesca Rubi on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen in the virtual clubhouse with a smoldering hair and makeup look that had Andy doing a double take. 

Kate debuted a playful, sandy blonde hairstyle earlier this fall, complete with wispy, side-swept bangs. But Andy was convinced there was more to her recently refreshed look than meets to eye. "By the way, Kate," Andy began, "I'm looking at you and feeling like you might have gotten new lips since the last time I saw you."

"Thank you for asking," Kate quipped, "but I actually did not." And no, we don't have another "aggressive" beauty treatment to thank for Kate's stunning appearance.

"I will let you know when I do," she continued. "I actually wore a colored lipstick, which, I think our friend [makeup artist] Caroline [Blanchard] will agree...I never do. This is a colored lip." 

"Is there anything else different about you?" said Andy. "No joke, I feel like something's been zhushed." 

Then, Kate divulged the age-old beauty secret known to many but followed by few — rest. "You know what I think it might be," Kate clarified. "I think when I'm not working 18 hour days for six weeks straight wearing a polyester uniform...that's what you guys are used to seeing me as. So, this is land life."

Land life looks good on you, Kate.
