Kelley Johnson shared a peek at sister Amy Johnson's wedding to Ellis Lenthall even before she did. The Below Deck alum, who appeared in Season 2 as a deckhand and in Season 4 as bosun, shared his excitement about his sister's nuptials in a post on Instagram on November 6, 2020 that featured a photo of him holding a camera while standing in front of a neon sign spelling out Amy's new last name: "The Lenthalls."

How to Watch

Watch Below Deck on Bravo Mondays at 9/8c and next day on Peacock. Catch up on the Bravo App.

The pic also hints at the very special role Kelley ended up playing at Amy's intimate wedding, which took place at her home in North Carolina on October 3, 2020. "The photographer we hired is one of Kelley’s good friends and somebody he had traveled to Iceland to do a photography trip with," Amy shared during an exclusive interview with Bravo Insider in January. "And so Kelley helped be, like, the third shooter for our wedding. So, he was there, and helped with the photography."

Since Below Deck, Kelley has dived into the world of photography and videography, building up quite the portfolio, which you can see on his website and social media.

However, Kelley hasn't said goodbye to the sea completely. He also worked full-time as a captain during the past year. "He, through the pandemic, has stepped back into full yachting, and he’s a captain on a boat, so he’s super busy these days," Amy said of Kelley. "So, we don’t get to chat as much as we used to when he was building his photography career."

Luckily, Amy was able to spend some time with Kelley while filming Below Deck Galley Talk, which airs Fridays at 8/7c on Bravo (clip below). "It was great to go back, seeing his new place. It’s his first, like, grown-up, big boy place where he has it by himself, and it’s a really cute house," Amy said of the experience of sitting on a couch with Kelley while watching all of the drama of Below Deck Season 8 on the show. "I’m very proud of him, and it was great to get to catch up and just hang out for that time."

Rachel Hargrove Channels Her Inner Delores and Embarrasses the Crew

Though Amy said that she still keeps in touch with Kate Chastain, Connie Arias, and Captain Lee Rosbach from her time on Below Deck, in addition to Kelley, he has her beat when it comes to staying in contact with past crew mates. "Kelley keeps up with a lot more people than I do," Amy said.

In particular, Amy said that Kelley "stays really close contact with Captain Lee." "He was just playing golf with him, gosh, I think, Christmas Eve or some time around Christmas," she shared. "And so, I’ll keep up with Lee through Kelley."

That playfulness that Amy and Kelley have about their experiences on Below Deck that we see on Below Deck Galley Talk is exactly how the siblings reminisce about their time on the show off-camera. "We tease each other a lot about it. Our first season together [Season 2], we always joke that it looks like we cried 50 times. So, we both make fun of each other about that," Amy said. "If something comes up that reminds us of a situation or something that we can get a little jab into each other, tease each other about, it’ll come up that way."

Amy added that she can't resist the urge to "put him in his place" every once in a while.

Isn't that what siblings are for?
