America Ferrera Just Chopped Off Her Locks to Get the Season's Hottest Hairstyle
She looks like a total Betty.
America Ferrera just changed up her look in a major way. The actress, who's been actively stumping for Hillary Clinton, recently snapped a selfie that showed no sign of her signature long, dark tresses.
America's new style is considerably shorter—and lighter!—and is yet more proof that the long bob isn't going anywhere. The star told InStyle that the change had to do with her Superstore character, who's apparently set to undergo some changes. "My character on my show...was undergoing a big change, and so we talked about what that would be,” America told the mag. “We needed her to have a big change to her look, and I also had been thinking about a new cut. It’s the most fun and easiest thing to do. And you know, hair grows back and you can color it whatever you want.” (And doesn't Kylie Jenner know it.)
America sported her new look to model a Rebecca Minkoff t-shirt that bears her name. The tee, which cheekily riffs off Donald Trump's "Make America Great Again" campaign slogan, benefits Rock The Vote. And the actress's shorter locks also tie into her political hopes. "Electing a new president calls for a new hairstyle," she wrote, next to a picture that debuted the sassy look.
So, does the lob have your vote? Or would you need to see how it holds up in a debate with the shag?
