Angelina Jolie's New Modeling Gig Has a Philanthropic Twist
See how the humanitarian will use her pay.
A brand could do worse than to have Angelina Jolie as its face. And, a celebrity could do worse than to have an endless supply of Guerlain perfume. But when Angelina signed up to model for the French brand's new fragrance Mon Guerlain, she wasn't in it for the spritz supply.
In a move that's typical of her, the UNHCR Special Envoy has said that she'll donate her entire salary from the project to charity. And, that's not the only way in which the partnership is personal to her.
In a press release, the brand shared that Angelina has early memories of her mother using Guerlain's violet-scented powder. Plus, the new fragrance was inspired by the actress herself.
Master perfumer Thierry Wasser hasn't let on much, but did reveal (rather enigmatically) that the fragrance contains "notes of a woman," and will smell of "the choices, emotions, and dreams that embody modern femininity." So, jasmine? Pink peppercorn? Help us out here, Thierry!
While we wait to learn more about the mysterious perfume, we'll leave you with this intriuging campaign teaser.
That lets on a ton, right? FYI, the scent will launch in March.
