Black-and-White Looks Won the Week
No grey areas, here.
While the week has fashion has provided us with plenty of inspiration piling on the color (we're pretty much in love with yellow dresses right now), there's also been an abundance of black and white. From Cannes to Fashion Week Australia—and even on late-night TV—stars are proving the classic color combo to be anything but basic. Let's take a look at the best black-and-white styles of the week.
1. Lea Seydoux in Louis Vuitton
For the premiere of It's Only the End of the World, the actress wore Louis Vuitton. Another Cannes trend: a bright red lip.
2. Adriana Lima in Prada
For the Julieta premiere, Adriana Lima wore a silky, lacy look. Here you'll see another red lip (and pedi) and another important Cannes trend: the leg slit.
3. Adriana Lima in Alessandra Rich
She strikes again, this time in a black-on-white, vintage-style gown. Adriana's hair was slicked back into a sleek bun—not unlike Kim's.
4. Lottie Moss in Balmain
The army strikes again. Here's Lottie, dazzling us all at the Chopard Wild party in Cannes.
5. Kirsten Dunst
Kirsten looked classic in Chanel at the AmfAR gala in Cannes. Her lip? Red, bien sur.
6. Fashion Week Australia Street Style
The black-and-white trend didn't stay in Cannes. Over at Fashion Week Austrlia, street-style snaps showcased the trend in full force.
7. Rebecca Vallance at Fashion Week Australia
The two tones also had strong representation on the Australian runways.
8. Gigi Hadid on 'The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon'
In the meantime, Gigi wore a cutout bustier by Rubin Singer in New York. (And passionately discussed Sin City.)
9. Karlie Kloss in Marchesa With Stefanie Giesinger
One more look at Cannes, and the truth is black and white: these two colors win the week.
