Ciara Dressed Her Baby Bump in French Couture at The American Music Awards
The mother-to-be also channeled a Parisian icon with her beauty look.
No doubt about it: Ciara is pregnant with a rock star. What other baby can say he (or she!) made his (or her!) public debut at the American Music Awards? Even though her new husband Russell Wilson was on football duty, Ciara made it clear that she wasn't alone at the awards show: she gave lots of affectionate pats to her growing baby bump.
The star looked comfortable and glamorous at the same time wearing a custom dress by French designer Stephane Rolland. “I wanted something that would be comfortable on my belly and stylistically unexpected,” Ciara told Vogue. “It felt young, fresh, and cool.”
The black-and-white dress had a turtleneck silhouette, a bubble hem, and a hi-low skirt that made it interesting from every angle. And the French theme carried through to Ciara's beauty look. Inspired by Brigitte Bardot, the singer wore a wing-tip smoky eye and a pinkish nude lip. She capped it off with a cute version of the evening's top hairstyle: a ponytail.
