We Found It: Waterproof Mittens for Your Kiddos That Are Also Crazy Cute

There are parts of parenting that are obvious—feed your kids vegetables, make them brush their teeth, limit screen time, etc., etc. But then there are the millions of other gray areas where you have to exercise a trial and error philosophy. Nowhere is this more evident than with snow gear. You send your kids out into the snow to play—in your mind this is going to be Norman Rockwell-painting-level perfection—and within minutes someone’s boot has slipped off, their noses are running like faucets, and their hands are soaking wet thanks to those crappy mittens you bought on a whim at the drugstore.

I’m not exaggerating when I say that I’ve gone through a dozen mittens over the past few years, trying to find the perfect pair for tiny hands that actually stay on, keep the snow out, and are legitimately waterproof. Oh, and that come in an adorable pattern. It was no easy feat, but here I’m sharing with you my favorites—not only are they so cute your toddlers and kids will flip over them, but you’ll also be patting yourself on the back after 20 minutes when nary a child as screamed, “Can someone put my mitten back on?!”
