We've Found Your Dream Job! Get Paid to Travel and Drink Wine From a Can All Summer
You could be the next Wine "Canbassador."
Close your eyes and imagine your dream job. Traveling around the country? Yep. Drinking lots of wine? Of course. Talking about how much you love wine? Absolutely. And getting paid to do all of this? Sign us up, stat.
Well, this dream job could be yours, if you act fast. Grubstreet reports that Oregon-based Union Wine Co.—the maker of Underwood Wine in a Can—is looking for a brand "Canbassador" to road trip across the country this summer in a tricked-out 1972 Citroën "mobile wine bar." You'll stop at music festivals, store openings, and other summer events, talking up the wines and basically getting paid to hang out, schmooze, and drink.
"Are you adventurous, outgoing and adaptable? Do you think living in a van is cool? Enjoy every day being different?" the job posting reads on Union Wine Co.'s website.
Other skills you'll need: "comfortable living on the road (i.e. sleeping in alternative spots, strange hours, minimal amenities);" "can capably drive large vehicles, with trailers, long distances, in urban environments, in adverse weather conditions" (oh, and the van is manual, so better brush up on your stick shift skills); "can work a flexible schedule (i.e. extended periods away from home, long hours, multiple days on)."
Sounds like you? They're only accepting applications until May 7, so better update your resume fast.
