Jennifer Lawrence Channeled a Modern Bride at The 'Passengers' Premiere
It's engagement season: take notes on this look.
Red carpets have been filled with princess-gowns-with-a-twist this season, and Jennifer Lawrence brought on the glamour at last night's Passengers premiere in Los Angeles. The Oscar winner—who plays a journalist in the upcoming film—wore a white gown with a classic silhouette.
From Dior's Spring/Summer 2017 collection, the white gown is embroidered with a single, shimmering heart. (Perfect for weddings, right?)
Fun fashion fact: The cotton-and-tulle dress is from the first-ever collection that Maria Grazia Chiuri designed for the French house. Now, onto the glam squad: J-Law has been working with stylists Jill Lincoln and Jordan Johnson these days, so we imagine the duo had a hand in selecting her pretty gown and sparkling choker. Jillian Dempsey gave Jennifer a perfect red lip, and just a hint of pink glow on her cheeks; stylist Jenny Cho topped it all off with a textured updo. Jenna Hipp was the woman behind the star's iridescent purple mani, which you can catch a glimpse of here:
"I matched her nails to her sparkly [Dior] heart!," Jenna captioned the pic. Honestly, what's a heart of gold when you have a sparkly Dior heart? But seriously, brides-to-be, study up on this look: it's proof that everyone should have the perfect choker to walk down the aisle with, that a bridal mani need not be ballerina pink, and that a layer of sheer, pleated tulle over a short cotton skirt adds a little mystery and a lot of edge.
