Julia Roberts Does Not Adhere to Dress Code
Unless that code is: barefoot baller.
The dress code at last year's Cannes Film Festival was "no heels, no entry." Even if that's not the case this year—there was a bit of backlash for the sexist rule—the event has a legacy of formal fashion. Well, Julia Roberts DGAF.
The big, huge movie star is in town to promote a flick and pal around with Clooney—not tiptoe carefully up the famous Cannes stairs. So last night, Roberts strode into the Money Monster premiere in an Amani Prive gown, a 52.8-carat emerald from Chopard, and bare feet. (And, that mischievous smile. That's got to be 55 carats at least.)
To be fair, Roberts did fancy up her feet for the occasion, flashing a dark pedicure and a toe ring. And here we were, thinking Naomi Watts' Bulgari necklace was the Cannes jewelry statement to beat. Roberts just kicked that idea to the curb.
