We're Kind of Obsessed With This Giant Bagel Sandwich That's the Size of a Car Tire

You've gotta see it to believe it.

By Sara Gauchat

You know those amazing dreams where you’re chowing down on a bagel breakfast sandwich as big as a tire (or possibly those nightmares where it’s chowing down on you)? Well, they’re all about to come true—if you happen to find yourself in Hoboken, NJ at O’ Bagel. The ballsy bakers there are obviously believers in the way-bigger-is-way-better approach, because they’ve invented the Jumbo Bagel, which is elevating the breakfast game to a whole new stratosphere of enormity.

Weighing in at a whopping 25 to 35 pounds, this colossal creation actually is as big as a car tire (we would never joke about carbs, people). Roughly 20 bagels in one, the Jumbo Bagel feeds 15 to 30 super lucky people. And just to be clear, it’s totally legit—getting hand-rolled, proofed, boiled, and baked just like all good New York-style bagels should.

Of course, this isn’t exactly a slather-on-a-schmear-and-go type of situation. The Jumbo Bagel mega-sandwiches are customizable, but the one people covet the most is The Ridge Diablo, which is stuffed with more than 30 scrambled eggs, bacon, Taylor ham (people in Jersey can’t get enough), pepper jack cheese, pickled jalapenos, hash browns, and a healthy drizzle of chipotle aioli. Yes, for real. And it’ll ring up at $145.

The gargantuan finished product is conveniently sliced up into single servings that are basically the size of a normal human bagel sandwich. But let’s be honest—can we ever really look at a plain old bacon, egg, and cheese on an everything bagel again without now pondering what could’ve been? (Stupid non-giant breakfast…)

Watch the video below and get ready to start drooling:
