Karl Lagerfeld Has *No* Problem With Kendall Jenner

Hold onto your hats, guys: Kendall Jenner is on the cover of another magazine. For the June/July issue of Harper's Bazaar, Karl Lagerfeld sat down with his fresh-faced muse, and the revelatory conversation has been recorded for our reading pleasure. (Seriously, revelatory. Wait'll you "meet" Lagefeld's mom.)

Apparently, Lagerfeld wasn't completely friendly to Jenner when he first met her at a Chanel fitting two years ago (you know how Chanel fittings go.) But, the pair has struck up quite a bond since then. Lagerfeld describes the relationship, in fact, as "problem-less." Here are a few dishy insights from the piece, which hits newsstands May 24.

Perhaps that's not very shocking. But the designer claims that he didn't even know Kendall appeared on the show when he first met her. His first impression of Jenner was simply that she's "very warm, human, and sweet."

Lagerfeld has been in the industry for a long, long time—but his energy and passion show no signs of flagging. "Everyone...hopes I retire so they can get [my] jobs," he said. "But my contracts with Fendi and Chanel are lifelong." Hear that, young guns? Those positions have been filled.

The designer admits to having a rather large head when he was growing up. He did have something to show for that ego: at six, he spoke three languages and was already sketching like a champ. But in the looks department? "My mother would say to me, You look okay but not as good as me," he said. "I was always told as a child by my mother that you always have to be impeccable, even when you go to bed." And yet, they don't show us Lagerfeld's PJs? What kind of tease is this?! Lagerfeld shared one more word of advice from this sunny mom character. "When I was 24, my mother called me and said, It's only downhill from now."

As those of us who do watch KUWTK know, Kendall grew up riding horses and loves the sport to this day. "I thought I was going to be a professional horseback rider and then a vet. I used to play these vet video games," she said. "In my day, there were no vet video games," Lagerfeld countered. But, he added, he did have a Bentley by the time he was 20. Well, then!

In case you ever wondered: Kendall showers when she gets home at night. Karl does not. He prefers to take a bath in the morning, after he climbs out of his Egyptian cotton sheets. Kendall begs to differ. "I live for a shower," she made known.

Et tu, Kendall? Jenner admitted that she recently went to a Justin Bieber concert. "Of course I have the fever!" Turns out, the Biebs is an old family friend. (What?)

Kanye went to the same show—two nights in a row. This surprised even his sister in law. "He's a huge fan—I was shocked. He was dancing around the whole night, having so much fun," she said.

Lagerfeld is "100 percent a huge fan of Beyoncé. If I see her, I will faint," he said. "I've met her before. I just get really nervous and quiet—I just shut up and bow down."
