Lily-Rose Depp's Signature Style: Get to Know Chanel's Newest Muse
The 16-year-old is already a certified style star.
Lily-Rose Depp is the new face of Chanel No. 5. The actress and model celebrated her "sour sixteen" less than a year ago, but it's easy to see why the legendary brand looks to her as a muse. Alluring as could be, Lily-Rose has a romantic, ethereal kind of beauty— and a wickedly dark sense of humor. (You'll see.) Here's a look at some of her most captivating style moments to date.
Around this time last year, Lily-Rose celebrated her sixteenth birthday in a decidedly atypical party dress. In a boudoir-inspired (we think?) outfit, she wore a giant necklace, a sparkling crown, and her signature dreamy look. "My Sour Sixteen," she wryly captioned the pic—before giving followers a peek at her "sweet sixteen dungeon."
Perhaps it was maman Vanessa Paradis—a Chanel ambassador—who put love for the double Cs in Lily-Rose's veins. But she clearly has a deep affection for the brand, from her head (ahem, see above)...
to her toes.
Indeed, Lily-Rose is up to her eyeballs in Chanel—literally. She's served as a model for its eyewear, showing us all how pearl-studded sunglasses are done. (With a deep, dark, red lip.)
And in a fitted black dress and that starry tiara, Lily-Rose looked like a modern-day Holly Golightly in Chanel's casino-theme show last July.
As a rising actress, Lily-Rose has been making the rounds at major film festivals. She tends to favor a monochromatic look, and turned up at the Sundance Film Festival this year in a studded blazer, black trousers, and a white tank. Her smoky eye makeup, tousled hair, and flowing red scarf were the perfect dishabille accessories.
She wore an all-white look (Chanel, bien sur) to the Met Gala.
And donned all black for a red-carpet appearance at Cannes.
But, Lily-Rose does experiment with color. For a daytime photo call at Cannes, she wore a Chanel hoodie with shorts—and bright red kicks.
She also wore a brightly patterned Chanel tube top to the label's Paris fashion show last fall.
And, she felt "on fleek" wearing neon makeup (and nails) for Love Magazine.
But, despite the cover shoots, film premieres, and superstar parents, Lily-Rose is still a teen. And even if she wears Chanel to school, she still has to ask to use the bathroom. Le sigh.
