Sarah Jessica Parker looked dreamy and romantic at a Wednesday night event in New York City. The actress and Andy Cohen pal hit a store opening for Italian lingerie brand Intimissimi, and managed to dress right on theme. 

Parker paired lacy skirt with a sheer white top by Oscar de la Renta, and let her black bra peek out from underneath the classically ladylike ensemble. 

Speaking to W Magazine, the Divorce star admitted that she doesn't always show off her intimates. Unless, of course, the occasion calls for it. "No point in hiding it," she told the mag, adding: "Well, tonight. That’s not [usually] my motto."

But since lingerie was the hot topic at last night's event, the actress elaborated on her affection for well-made undergarments. "I have a lot of respect for the bra," SJP told W. "I love a good old-fashioned bra. I mean, I admire those who can go around without one, but such is not the case for me."

Kristin Stewart also made a strong case for the visible bra this week. At the Elle Women in Hollywood awards, the Twilight star let a black, lacy undergarment peep out from under her Halloween-hued Antonio Berardi suit. 

No point in hiding it, indeed!
