Steal Pippa Middleton's Style For Your Summer Events

Just make sure the bride's cool with it, mmkay?

By Jenny Berg

Kate Middleton wore a Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen gown at her 2011 wedding. With its swooping train and long, lacy sleeves, the dress has made an enduring mark on bridal style. But Kate's sister, Pippa Middleton, made quite an impression that day as well. Lest you've forgotten (yeah, right), Pippa did her bridesmaid duties in a closely fitted white gown, also by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen.

Just in time for summer events, a similar style is on sale—and available at a steep discount.

Pippa's dress allegedy cost $2,565. But, an Alexander McQueen that's available on Forward by Elyse Walker (above) is going for a mere (er, relatively mere) $1,539. The double-lapel gown has a few stylistic differences from Pippa's. The sleeves are shorter, for one; there's also no cowl neck on this style. But there's no denying the look's striking similarity to the one that made Pippa a household name.

The style is perfect for formal events this summer, but a word about weddings: unless you're  dealing with a very nice bride (like Kate Middleton), it's customary that wedding guests  should not wear white.
