The 9 Most Paris Hilton Looks, Ever

That's hot.

By Jenny Berg

Paris Hilton feels misunderstood. So, she's producing a documentary—about herself. (Seems fair.) The yet-untitled film is being shopped around at Cannes this week, and production will begin this summer in the one place that will surely dispel Hilton's party-girl image: Ibiza.

But seriously, folks: The documentary's co-directors said in a statement that “Paris Hilton is a modern-day Marilyn Monroe – beautiful, iconized, world famous, shaped by mass media and misunderstood. We are thrilled to work with Paris to explore her complicated relationship with the public, the press and the politics that shape our perception of a modern celebrity.” Just don't trust her to keep a secret.

This goes without saying, but we cannot wait to watch this doc, which promises to be "unflinching." (Listen, we'll admit it: we watched The World of Paris. What of it.) And to tide us over till the film is released, we're looking back at the "iconized" figure's most classic looks.

Here's sweet Paris, channeling Kathy Hilton in a big way back in 1996. Throughout her rise to pop stardom, Hilton would keep pink as a signature color. The formal tweed jackets? Well...

Let's just say Paris got a bit more casual as the years went on. Here she is in 2003 at a Golden Gold gifting suite, with Tinkerbelle in tow and the most blinding flip-flops we've ever seen. This classic aughties shot is our gift to you, today. Revel in the memories. (And R.I.P, little Tink.)

That was Golden Globes daytime; this is night. Hilton's 2004 look for the awards show put her girly, cheeky style on full display. We call this: Cinderella checks into the Bellagio. We love it.

From butterflies to daisies, Paris embraces the meadow-inspired hair accessories. Here she is with then-pal (then not pal, then kind of pal again) Nicole Richie on the set of The Simple Life

That was what she wore on a farm, this is what she wears to Cannes. All pause to swoon. In 2014, Hilton attended the amfAR gala in the south of France wearing this fit-for-a-princess gown.

On rare occasion, or when she's being paid by Carl's Jr. to do so, Hilton will channel an edgier side in all black. As further evidence of edge, note the belly-button ring. Fun fact: daredevil Hilton is also a big fan of skydiving.

A songstress herself, Paris regularly checks out the bands in Coachella. Here she is at this year's fest, wearing a sheer black lace dress by Michael Costello. FYI: Earlier in the day, she'd accessorized the look with lacy cat ears. And later, she rocked out with aunt Kyle Richards.

Earlier this week, Hilton hit LAX to board a flight for France, looking sleek (and very covered up) in a houndstooth dress, black booties, a fedora, and shades. If this is her airport look, we'll have to assume track suits are a thing of the past.

Though we have to wait to see her official Cannes looks this year, Hilton left a little teaser on Instagram. Looks like haute couture house Galia Lahav is knee deep in crystals, stitching up a custom look as we speak.
