The Real Chihuahuas of Tinsley Mortimer
But do they also wear Oscar de la Renta?
We don’t care that The Real Housewives of New York City’s Tinsley Mortimer has a mug shot. We don't care that she refuses to change her tried-and-true look, Carole Radziwill's suggestions be damned. In our eyes, Tinsley Mortimer is the epitome of class. Why? Because there’s still a part of us that will always be in awe of a beautiful blonde born into old money and seemingly named after a type of holiday ornament.
We’ve loved Tinsley Mortimer ever since she became famous on blogs like Park Avenue Peerage and the New York Social Diary. But we doubly love her after looking through her Instagram, and seeing how much she adores her rescued Chihuahuas, although sadly, two are recently deceased. (RIP.)
Tinsley has communed with Chihuahuas all her life, but the only one still living is Bambi, whom she adopted in 2011 from the Humane Society of New York, where she also volunteers. In the early days of her Instagram feed, there was also Bella, a little white lady, and BB, a gray-haired fella who passed away at the age of 17 on July 24, 2016.
The last time we saw Bambi was in the fall of 2016, when he appeared wearing a sweater, and celebrating cooler weather with his mama. (These days, Tinsley’s feed is mostly full of pictures of her with new boyfriend Scott, vacationing in fabulous locations such as Croatia and Italy.)
Anyway, we have a feeling that while Tinsley is traveling the world, Bambi is back in Palm Beach with Tins' mother, Dale, or her sister, Dabney. How do we have this feeling? From a completely thorough read of her Instagram feed, which often mentions Dale and Dabney watching the pups while Tinsley is out of town. (Yes, we looked at every one of Tinsley’s 444 posts. Our jobs are so hard!)
