Carole Radziwill Pays Respect to Lee Radziwill At Her Funeral in NYC
The RHONY alum was among the friends and family who showed up to pay final respects to her iconic mother-in-law.
Iconic socialite Lee Radziwill was laid to rest on Monday (February 25) in New York City at the Church of St. Thomas More on the Upper East Side. She passed away earlier this month at the age of 85 of natural causes at her home in Manhattan. The funeral service was attended by her daughter-in-law and The Real Housewives of New York City alum Carole Radziwill, as well as niece Caroline Kennedy (Lee's sister was Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis), and fashion insiders like Carolina Herrera, Marc Jacobs, Tory Burch, and former Vogue staffer editor André Leon Talley.
According to Page Six, a friend of the late socialite said,"It’s a funeral service, not a memorial. They won’t be doing anything else as she was so private and elegant.”
Carole, who was married to Lee's son Anthony until 1999 when he lost a battle with cancer, honored Lee shortly after she died by posting a vintage black-and-white photo of her mother-in-law on February 17 on Instagram. "She was loved. Rest in Peace, Lee," Carole shared in the post before thanking fans for their "kind words [and] comments" during this difficult time.
