Brandi Cyrus' Miami Travel Diary Proves She's the Coolest Cyrus
The #CyrusVsCyrus star was able to fit all of this into ONE weekend?!
This week, Brandi and Tish Cryus, the mother-daughter duo behind Cyrus vs. Cyrus: Design and Conquer, are guest editing Bravotv.com! Keep an eye out for exclusive content from the two, and like Bravo on Facebook so you never miss an update.
Packing for the trip was really tough for me this time, because my first stop was Miami, but from there I went to NYC, then Vegas, and then back to NYC, all before I got to go home. Whoosh! For Miami, though, I knew I’d spend most of my time either on the beach or out on the town, so I packed a few swimsuits and a pair of slides, as well as a couple different outfits that could take me from dinner out to a dance club. I did also pack gym clothes and sneakers so I would be motivated to exercise while I was gone. And most importantly, I brought sunscreen for my skin and my hair for all the time I spent in the sun. Here's how I spent my time on this whirlwind trip.
Day 1 in Miami:
I go to The Weeknd/Rae Stremmurd concert with my friend Val.
Day 2 in Miami:
I stop by the NBC offices to promote my new show, Cyrus vs. Cyrus: Design and Conquer. Here I am with the host of 6 in the Mix.
Next, I spend a few hours at the beach with my friends Val and Sheeva.
My new friend Dave took us out on his AWESOME boat he calls the SS Groot. He had DJ Ruckus and Steve Aoki in town playing at his night clubs and they were both on the boat as well. We all became fast friends and had the best time!
I finished up the night with dinner and drinks at Soho Beach House. I don’t get to go to the beach often, so when I’m in Miami I usually spent the majority of my time by the ocean. I do love spending time at the Soho Beach House as well, especially for drinks at night!
Day 3 in Miami:
It's time for my set at the Simply Stylist pop up. I’ve been DJing for about a year and half. I used to play in a band when I was a bit younger and living in L.A., and since then I started working in fashion and TV, so I started to miss music a lot. I started seeing a lot of girl DJs spinning at the fashion events I always attend, and I thought it looked super fun, so one day I just decided to learn! The first gig I ever did was actually Noah’s 16th birthday party, and I’ve been hooked ever since.
I did find some time to do a little shopping on Lincoln Rd. I like it because they have everything from Urban Outfitters and Nike to Intermix and All Saints. I didn’t have a lot of room in my suitcase for extra stuff, but I did grab a cute necklace from Intermix and a light Fila jacket to take to NYC.
Later that day I head out for a run.
My friends and I did Miami RIGHT on Saturday night. I had never been to any of the night clubs before, and I made a new friend this trip who happens to own some of the best restaurants and clubs in Miami—one of the nicest guys I’ve ever met! We had dinner at Komono (Which was TO DIE FOR! Literally some of the best food I’ve ever had.) and then went to check out LIV and ended up dancing the night away until about 4 a.m. Needless to say, I was feeling a little rough for my travel day on Sunday, but it was totally worth it.
Sunday:
Brunch at Malibu Farm before flying from Miami to NYC!
