TEASIN’ IS THE SEASON, TROUBLES WITH MONKEY, AND YOU CAN SEE MY UNDERWEAR
Monkey has an eye infection and is throwing up.
I question Jeff’s comments at my wedding reception.
Does he understand that what he said would hurt?
Jeff has lots of opinions about the pre-wedding speeches.
I heard family, love, and encouragement.
With twelve years of experience, I get Jeff’s idea of funny…
Most of the time.
Shouting out that comment
He knows he went too far.
In Venice contractor Roberto is still way behind.
Laura looks at the work... Roberto is history.
Jeff and Roberto have a heated phone conversation.
Roberto hangs up.
At Spring Oak Gage eats a bad bacon sandwich.
He throws up.
Zoila suggests more bacon this time with grilled cheese.
She then starts pregnancy rumors.
Jeff encourages Zoila, who calls Gage “the genius.”
Jeff please break up with Gage. He is annoying and whiny and I wish he would get off the show. Please break up with him so he can get off the show. Thanks
Gage has to go Nebraska! He seems so boring and very negative person! Andrew is much better than Gage! He should date with Jeff!!!
Keep it up Zoila. This guy is a tyrant. He prides himself on badgering you, insulting your intelligence, and primping his own pretentiousness. Great expression "dont cry" because that is exactly what he is doing.
Gage is manipulative, and malicious. From the time he moved in with Jeff, he has been determined to get rid of anyone (and everyone) in Jeff's world who he sees as a threat. And Gage sees everyone as a threat. He won't be satisfied until he gets rid of everyone who has any history with Jeff. His current target is Zoila, after he forces her to quit, he'll turn his venom on Jennie. He is very threatened by those closest to Jeff. Sara, and Trace, and Jett found this out....Gage convinced Jeff each time that each of them needed to be fired for "business" reasons when all along he was gunning for each of them. This year, he tried to oust Andrew, but failed, temporarily. Anyone Gage perceives as younger, prettier, funnier, or simply closer to Jeff emotionally, must be gotten rid of, so that only Gage can shine. He pretends to be very superior, but must have many insecurities to be so vindictive. Jeff's employees are his family, they make his life better, and more fun, but Gage has virtually no sense of humor, no personality, and no feelings towards any of them. To Gage, they are competition, and need to be eliminated. He is cold, calculating, and very immature. He dislikes most people, and is extremely suspicious. He claims to be looking out for Jeff on the business end of operations, but has in reality, hurt JL Designs with his hatred towards everyone. The show is not as funny, light hearted, or interesting because of Gage.
I totally get Jeff's sense of humor and he owns up to all his baggage. I think Gage showed his true feelings towards Zolia when he wanted her room as HIS office, Jeff knew that was spiteful, but allowed it. I think Gage feels entitled to treat people that work FOR Jeff like crap. Big difference between Gage and Jeff... Jeff teases, but the staff KNOWS he loves them.. Gage is just bitchy and the staff KNOWS he does not like them or respect them and would have them fired if up to him. At the end of the day Jenni and Zoila KNOW Jeff and his sense of humor and how he shows love.
I see Zoila as the "matriarch" of Jeff's office family..I miss the days when it was Jeff just teasing everyone and pushing it too far..then Ryan and Jenni would help Zoila give it back to him. That reminded me of "family" and made everyone loveable. Jeff and Zoila are funny on their own.. they don't snide, bitchy comments from Gage to Zoila..or really Gage's bitchy comments to any office staff.
I also love this show and sorry, the teasing is hilarious. I feel like I'm six years old again and playing and fussing with my brothers. Jenny, you totally get Jeff and enjoy his great sense of humor. You also suffer through his bad moments (at the wedding) because he truly is like a brother & no one is perfect. We love you Jenny and I'm so happy for you that you found your true love!!
It surprises me that Zoila can come up with the best lines like Barbie Bitch but then profess to be hurt. I think she just doesn't care for Gage, is annoyed by Gage and wants to push Gage's buttons enough that he'll leave Jeff and leave the house.
I agree with LizzyJae that Jeff does not mean to hurt anyone. In fact I think it is awesome that Jeff took back Andrew and gave him a second chance. I hope Andrew doesn't let him down. This season rocks so far; but I do hope that everyone can get along, Zoila could appreciate Gage, and the teasing could be just for fun. Life if too short and Zoila's not getting any younger....!
I hope that you and your husband will soon have babies and then Zoila could move in to be your nanny. Gage is the center of all the clashing in the office. I feel so bad for Zoila. He's just mean to her.
I really like this show. Yes Jeff is inappropriate, but I don't believe he actually means to hurt anyone. My favorite person on FO is Jenni. She is "real." We have watched her ups and downs and just about anyone would be able to relate to her. She's TERRIFIC. I liked Cage initially, but he is beginning to wear on me. He doesn't need to treat Zoila and Andrew the way he does. It's different with Zoila and Jeff; they have known each other a long time. Cage is newer to the group and he seems a little needy and jealous lately. Maybe it's just a phase he is going through in building these new relationships. I hope so.
Love the show and love all of you, but that kind of teasing isn't funny. Period. I think Jeff had the power to stop it before it went too far and should have let Zoila know someone else was moving in. Zoila told the therapist she didn't want another boss, but if Jeff was straight, would she treat the lady of the house so poorly and would Jeff let her get away with it? Finally, Jeff instigating and allowing the sexual inuendo - Gage, with the piggy comments and Zoila with the Barbie Bitch comments COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE at work! Very hard to watch.
It's obvious Gage is jealous of anyone Jeff has an attachment to. Last season was vile, with ALL the firing at Gage's prompting. He has hinted that Jenni is not worthy(last season) and Zoila. If I were Zoila I would be hurt and offeneded..she cared for all Jeff's animals long before Gage came in to the picture and Gage knows that's the key to Jeff's heart. It's different if the person teasing you is a friend and you can laugh about together. Gage has admited he does not approve of teasing in the office, yet he picks on Zoila and Andrew. I think if up to Gage anyone that Jeff has an emotional attchment to needs to go. So, Jeff will ONLY have Gage. Very sad. Zoila deserves some respect from Jeff and Gage
Does anyone really enjoy Jeff's comments other than Jeff himself.? He is a bully that takes full advantage of being the boss (something he reminds us of in every segment). His remarks are not funny, and they are usually inappropriate. Those people must really be hard up for a job and companionship to hang around him. I don't think I have ever witnessed someone so rude and self-important.
An interesting show in that I sensed that the friction between Jeff and Gage is over. And I think a child is in the near future--did you catch Jeff's comment about how Gage would be great with children (when he was attending to Jeff's cat)? Zoila is a case of simple jealousy. She is having difficulty accept that Gage is now a central part of Jeff's life and responds with a sullen sarcasm. Jenni, Jeff, and Gage all looked great and quite happy. Indeed, Jeff was surprisingly relaxed and upbeat; I think he is quite enamored of his beau. But he will have to find something to flip out about; I can't imagine Jeff Lewis as an example of domestic bliss.
The doctor asked Jeff, Zoila and Gage to try being respectful of each other for a week and they ignored her. Maybe none of them actually wants change?
Put another way, some people are more attached to their problems than to finding solutions.
Jeff did admit that teasing people is his only joy. So, maybe that means more to him than hurting people?
Then Zoila will strike back at Jeff. Gage, who is passive aggressive with Jeff, will pile on with Zoila, causing her to attack him as well. And so it goes.
If they would rather perpetuate that cycle than have harmony in their home, they should just admit that to themselves and enjoy the fracas. Instead, Jeff gets to have it both ways by pretending that all he wants is for Zoila to be happy.
I honestly didn't enjoy the show tonight sad to say. I've been a fan of ALL of you since the beginning. So disappointed to say the least. Office etiquette is sadly missing, you can't continue to treat people like that and expect positive results. I hope it all gets worked out I really do.
Jenni I also wanted to wish you and your husband the best. I absolutely adore you!!!
@nanato2infairmontminn Kinda funny you say that, when in therapy she admitted to starting it all. Zoila is wrong in this situation, and Jeff is responsible for the bad feelings because of his continued in appropriate way of handling the move in, communicating a head of time.
Oh no you didn't. You obvisiously only watched an episode or two, and do not know the Real Jeff ......as far as him being a DAD? Over the years his concern, love, protection, loyality and adoration of his pets represent exactly how he would be a father. He hids his emotions behind his jokes, but it's there, his giving second chances to andrew, how he spoils Zolia ...he's been hurt a lot, many betrayals in his life.
No one is making these people work for Jeff. They can leave at any time. Everyone that goes to work for Jeff knows exactly what they are getting themselves into. And, if not, they shouldn't let the door hit them in the ass on the way out.
And, so what if Jhe lives to make money? Good for him. He takes a lot of risks to make his money and he deserves every penney he makes. Why should he be force into having a family before he is ready? Is Jeff selfish? Hell yes! I love that about him and he doesn't try to hide. Does he go over the top sometimes? Yes but he always tries to make amends, if he was wrong.
Love Jenni, love Jeff, love Zoila, starting to like Andrew more, and I put up with Gage's bad behavior, because I love watching Zoila push his buttons.
@Kat708 This entire issue rests on Jeff's shoulders. How is it Gage's fault that he moved in with Jeff and Jeff hadn't even told Zoila what was occurring? That started the whole cycle because Zoila, who admitted this in therapy, feels resentment towards Gage because of Jeff's inability to communicate. This was exhibited once again this season when Jeff decided that he and Gage need to put having a baby on hold and sell Gramercy Place and he doesn't tell Gage until AFTER everything is happening. That would be a deal breaker for many people in a relationship and honestly I think Gage has valid reasons to leave Jeff.
@Kat708 Gage is one of my favorites. While he is not perfect, he seems pretty down to earth. Zoila is completely rude to him and while Gage apologizes to Zoila for his part in the teasing, she seems to never apologize to him (at least not on the show). She needs to remember her place: she works for Jeff and Gage is Jeff's partner. She needs to respect that and frankly, Jeff needs to show her that she needs to respect that. Respect and Jeff just do not seem to go hand in hand unfortunately.
@Kat708 I highly doubt if your opinion of Gage is relevant. Sorry to burst your bubble. Jeff seems to think he is a good fit......
@Kat708 Sorry to disagree. Zoila is being extremely disrespectful to Gage. I suspect that her crankiness may arise from her being tired. Jeff demands too much physical housework from a woman her age. It seems to me that he doesn't comprehend that various physical ailments that commonly occur when we're seniors, such as arthritis pain, would prevent someone from being able to work on one's feet all day long, each and every day.
@GreatLakes Oh yeah and PS it' all rests on Jeff's shoulders, as he is the one writting the paychecks, ergo, he calls the shots.
and how would Gage support himself if he left? When he bitched about the moving to a different house then gramercy (which was a valid bitch, with all the time and effort put into it) Jeff invited him to move out if he wanted to. though you are correct on the communication or lack of it
@Snowwhite832 I'm sure Jeff wouldn't have hired Gage if he didn't have the skills to do the job, that's how Jeff operates. So I'm sure Gage is very employable, with or without Jeff Lewis. Gramarcy was supposed to be the house they had a child in, of course he wanted to hold onto that house! Didn't you watch last season AT ALL???? If you did you would know how often the two of them spoke of becoming parents together and how finding Gramarcy available was just another piece of that puzzle coming together. Hell, Jeff even had Zoila's room picked out and wanted her to be the nanny to the baby. In one fell swoop Gage saw their dream fading away. Jeff never had a nice convo with him about putting things on hold UNTIL after was very upset, which was very immature and disrespectful of Jeff. If he valued Gage at all, or any partner he may have, he'd have sat down and discussed everything out so that there were no surprises. I know many couples who have ended their relationships over such things "snow-white", you can't just make such sweeping decisions about your relationships without expecting some sort of fall out. Jeff was just plain wrong, and he was pissed at Gage because he didn't like that his thoughtless actions affected Gage adversely.Pay checks have nothing to do with loving relationships. If Jeff was a real man he'd have had a conversation with Gage a head of time and listed out why the house had to be sold, the baby on hold, everything. Dick-tatorship doesn't work in relationships, honey, so get off your high horse and wake up, you're not living in 21st century if you think it does.
