Jeff Lewis Shares an Update on His Recovery After Cosmetic Eye Surgery
The Flipping Out designer offered a humorous look at how he's healing after undergoing "fat repositioning" surgery on his eyelids.
Jeff Lewis is home recovering after undergoing a May 28 cosmetic procedure on his eyelids.
Prior to the surgery, the Flipping Out designer revealed his plans on the May 24 episode of his Sirius XM show, Jeff Lewis Live. "It's fat repositioning," he explained on the show, according to PEOPLE. "This is kind of a cutting-edge procedure. Normally, they'll suck out the fat, but this doesn't require folding of the skin or stitching or pulling. They go inside my eyelid, but it doesn't change the shape of your eye."
The procedure would make him "look rested," Jeff said, adding, "It's not like a huge, big difference."
After the procedure, the interior designer shared a peek at his at-home recovery on Instagram. In a photo posted on May 29, Jeff rested on his couch with his face bandaged up. He wore a gel eye mask and two frozen pea bags over his eyes. He was surrounded by cozy blankets, a stuffed animal, and his 4-year-old daughter Monroe.
"Recovery is going well," he quipped.
On May 31, Jeff offered another photo update on how he was healing. Perched on a patio chair while enjoying some sun, Jeff was still wearing bandages around his eyes. This time, he traded his frozen pea bags for a pair of chic gold shades.
Wishing you a speedy recovery, Jeff!
