Gina Kirschenheiter Explains What She Misses Most About Life on Long Island
We promise this is the most East Coast you've seen the RHOC 'Wife ever.
Gina Kirschenheiter will always be a East Coast girl, even though her life is currently all about the sunny West Coast. And when The Real Housewives of Orange County mom stopped by The Daily Dish offices recently, she opened up about missing her life in her native Long Island.
"I love the energy in New York. I love that people just say it like it is; there's no BS," she said when comparing life on the two coasts. "It's just such a big difference in personalities between East Coast and West Coast. And it's not necessarily bad, it's like, my comfort food. I miss my comfort food, too."
Around the same time she was at Bravo HQ in NYC, she did head home to Long Island and catch up with her pals. "Back home with my girl gang," she wrote on Instagram about the girls' day out at a local vineyard. "Definitely no place like home."
It was a sentiment she mirrored in her interview with The Daily Dish. "I miss all my friends, really bad. We went out to Long Island and we went to Del Vino, which is the new winery that's in Northport. It's amazing. It's such a lovely little spot. All my girlfriends showed up and were just laughing. And my heart will always be on Long Island. And I love the chicks on Long Island. I think they're funny. I think they have really ridiculous accents."
When fans first met Gina last season on RHOC, she opened up about being from Long Island and, yes, her accent. "I'm like everybody's circus act," she said during Season 13, adding in an interview, "I am Orange County until I open my mouth, and then it's like 'Here I am world!'"
