Kim Kardashian West Brought in Snow and Dr. Seuss Decor for Christmas Eve Party

The Keeping Up with the Kardashians sister hosted the family’s annual Christmas Eve bash this year.

By Courtney Thompson

If you were keeping up with the Kardashian family over the holidays, then you likely had a bit of FOMO when you saw the entire family (even Caitlyn Jenner!) celebrating Christmas Eve together at Kim Kardashian West’s Los Angeles home. Taking over the hosting reins from her mom, Kris Jenner, who typically handles the annual party, Kim turned her sprawling mansion into a veritable winter wonderland for the occasion. Working again with celebrity-favorite event planner Mindy Weiss, Kim was inspired by Whoville (from The Grinch), and turned her home and a tented space into a Seuss-like backdrop — albeit with an all-white color palette that Yeezy designer Kanye West likely insisted upon. The result? Um, it was the most fluffy, fuzzy, glowing, and of course, super-freaking-glam event ever.

And the décor didn’t stop inside. Weiss brought in dozens of towering wintry trees. She filled Kim's backyard with snow and created a hill for sledding.

Did we mention that John Legend was the evening’s entertainment? Yes, really. It’s official, we just can’t keep up with this level of entertaining. But in the meantime, let’s take a peek into the party.

Oh What Fun

Yep, that’s an actual hill for sledding! You might think the party guests were too gussied up for such antics, but think again —Kim and Paris Hilton reunited and took a spin down the hill together.

Backyard Blitz

It may look like a scene from Vermont, but this is actually a backyard in warm Calabasas.

A Heavenly Hallway

Inspired by the Dr. Seuss book The Grinch, the party’s décor traveled through the main floor of the Kardashian West home, with cottony white towers lining the hallways.

Kiddos, Too

The Kardashian family is ever-growing, and you’d better believe the kids were invited to this shindig. To keep them busy, Weiss created a kids corner tent with holograms on the ceiling and a churro station.

A Luxe Lounge

John Legend performed in an all-white tented lounge that had a tufted ceiling with fluffy lights and circular seating areas.

Food, Glorious Food

Let’s not forget the food, which also stayed within the evening’s creamy color palette.

Nope, we simply kan't handle just how over-the-top this fete was!
