Kathy's Open Floor Plan

The producers discuss the unique layout at the 'Kathy' offices.

When I first got hired on at Kathy, I was talking to Kathy (she’s the host) and she said, “I hope you don’t mind, but I redid the office so everybody has their desks out in the middle of the office.” I was like, “Whatever you dirty hippy.” Honestly, I didn’t mind. I haven’t cared where my desk was since the 10th grade when Jeff Golden sat behind me and kept knocking on my back brace. Sure it’s nice to have your own office, but I guess office space is suddenly at an all-time precious low -– like chicken wings. With every job I expect the worst and then sometimes luck out with a windowless, sheet-rocked room that contains zero sound. The toilet in County Lockdown has more privacy. (Don’t act like you don’t know what I’m talking about.)

Turns out I have a great desk right in front of the TV. I sit in between Nick Rizzo (Nick Nack from Beyond Scared Straight fame) and Erin Long who loves to tweet. You can see her tweets on Twitter from what I understand. Follow her @erinlong. Shep sits on the end and he tries to make his hair really messy for the ladies all day. Then there are the shit seats. Mina and Campbell have to sit under the TV looking towards us. So they have to look at the TV with hand mirrors –- the kind you can examine your private parts with. They do that, too. (It’s real loosey-goosey at our work)

Anywho, I love our open floor plan. Kathy walks in and we get to look at her being funny or nude. It’s an adventure. Goodbye for now.
