The One Shoulder T-Shirt: A Tutorial

"I've decided to focus this blog on the one shoulder black T-shirt that I'm shamelessly sporting in the beginning of the episode."

Although some pretty major things go down in this second episode (getting fired from Chado Ralph Rucci/ itern exodus/a model collapse at Genetic denim/ Vorhees meltdown), I've decided to focus this blog on the one shoulder black T-shirt that I'm shamelessly sporting in the beginning of the episode.

Before I explain how easily this article was made, and by myself I should add, I'd like to explain the genius of a one shouldered T-shirt. Not only is this shirt wonderfully comfortable and wearable, but it is more importantly another step in the direction of men's liberation via fashion. While I'd love to take credit for the brilliant idea of the asymmetrical man-top, I must give a shout out to the one and only, the greatest ever, Rick Owens. The one shoulder shirt appeared in looks 10 and 22 of his A/W '09/'10 collection and while the collection hadn't even hit stores at the time this episode was filmed, I had figured out a quick and affordable way to replicate this look just days after his presentation in Paris. It really couldn't be any easier, boys and girls. Grab a fresh T-shirt and your sharpest scissors and make one clean cut down one of the shoulder seams and straight down the sleeve. Finally, tuck the hanging flap on the inside of the shirt to create a layered toga-styled look. Anyway, hope you all enjoy your new favorite article and make sure to tune in next week to check out more of the insanity that is People's Revolution.

GLAMGOTHGRUNGE,

Andrew
