Ashley Graham's Stunning Lingerie Shoot Proves That Retouching Is a Waste of Time

As the saying goes, if it ain't broke ...

Does Ashley Graham Want to Be a Victoria’s Secret Angel?

Ashley Graham is an in-demand model who's covered Sports Illustrated, walked the runway for Michael Kors, and posed in her own lingerie creations for Addition Elle. But, though Graham loves fashion — and slays in every looks she wears — body positivity is the cause she seems most passionate about.

The down-to-earth cover star has long advocated for inclusivity in the fashion industry. For example, this was her impromptu review of Rihanna's Fenty x Puma show during New York Fashion Week: "That was an amazing show. But how dope would it have been to see some curves on the runway?"

Graham makes a fair point! But, while the industry inches toward embracing models of all sizes, Vogue Italia is one fashion force that's putting gorgeous curves on full display. The Italian fashion bible recently chose Graham as the star of a steamy lingerie shoot — and, let's just say, the staff photo editor might have had a very slow day when those negatives came back.

Graham shared select images from the shoot on Instagram to show her fans what happens, in her words: "When they don’t retouch you." Let's take a peek, shall we?

Is it weird to give Instagram snaps a standing ovation? (Too late, just did.) Not to state the obvious, but Graham's unretouched photos could not be any more fierce.

Last year, the model told The Lookbook: "I think now more than ever, we're going to see designers not just talking about [body acceptance], but putting it into action." It looks like Graham's prediction is coming true, not just on the runway but in editorial spreads as well!
