Haven Spa in NYC just launched a body wrap and pedicure treatment combo that’s a dream come true for any mermaid obsessive. It starts off with a Makizushi Wrap, during which your entire body will be gently exfoliated with a seaweed salt scrub. A nice touch: the exfoliants rubbing against your body will sound just like the waves crashing against the sand. Then, your body is slathered in a seaweed mask (yes, it smells just like you think it does) and you’re rolled up in plastic wrap like a burrito (and given a scalp massage!) while the product soaks in. Another nice touch: instead of the sleepy spa music you’re used to, Haven Spa plays beach party-ready songs by artists like Justin Timberlake and Alessia Cara. Then, you’re showered down all while lying on on the table, and then given a moisturizing massage with an algae-based lotion. 

After that, you’re off to the nail salon and let’s be clear: the Mermaid Pedi is not your average pedicure. First, your fins are bathed in a sea salt soak. They’re scrubbed with a sea algae and shea butter scrub, then moisturized with an algae lotion aptly called Beach Please. But the best part has to be the snacks! After all, what’s a mermaid-inspired spa day without a coconut or mango sorbet while you get your toes painted? 

All together, the treatment, valued at $150, will run you only $125, which is not bad at all for a full-body transformation into an exotic sea goddess. Verdict: highly recommend!
