Does Jessica Simpson’s Daughter Maxwell Have a Future as a Model?
The fashion designer says Maxwell's runway walk is on point: "She has it down better than her mama!"
With a mom like Jessica Simpson, fashion's practically in your genes. The singer/designer/shoe mogul has shared plenty of photos on Instagram of her too-cute daughter Maxwell playing dress-up or hanging out in the aisles at MAC. Now, Simpson says that Maxwell's dream is to be a model — so much so that she has to leave her at home during fashion events because the 5-year-old would take over the show.
"She doesn't really know that I'm here doing this because she would be very sad that she is not the star of the show," Simpson explained to ET during an event for military families in Nashville featuring a Jessica Simpson Collection fashion show at Dillard's. "She would have been guiding people and telling them how to do the hip stance."
Ever since Maxwell walked the runway in one of Simpson's fashion shows, she can't stop talking about it.
"She just does it every day to be honest, like there is no stopping her," Simpson told ET. "I don't know what else to do, it is out of my control."
Who knows? Maybe one day in the future, Maxwell will stomp the catwalk like Gigi and Bella Hadid. But for now, Maxwell's having fun being a kid (although she does have access to a lot of fabulous shoes).
But when it comes to her runway walk, Maxwell's a natural, Simpson says: "She has it down better than her mama!"
