Did Katie Holmes Put Fashion Week Models Out of a Job with Her Latest Gig?
Zac Posen ditched a traditional New York Fashion Week runway show for a totally different idea.
When you have Katie Holmes as a model, who needs New York Fashion Week? That's what designer Zac Posen decided this year for his Fall/Winter 2018 collection: Instead of a show, he released a lookbook of his collection modeled by the actress, who he considers a dear friend. She was his Met Gala date last year, and now Holmes is fronting Posen's newest designs.
"For #Fw18 I wanted to present my collection in an intimate portfolio of my dear friend @katieholmes212 photographed by @daniel_w_king," the designer posted yesterday on Instagram.
The lookbook features Holmes looking gorgeous in embellished cape dresses, swirling strapless ballgowns and Jackie O-esque suits. Besides that, Posen is releasing besides-the-scenes images of Holmes living it up in colorful gowns that seem designed for the Oscars. Then there are these moody, black-and-white photos from King, who captured Holmes mid-vogue.
OK, it's official: Holmes could quit acting for modeling and we need to see one of these Zac Posen gowns on Holmes at this year's Met Gala.
