The Royal Family's Christmas Card Will Make You Want to Wear Powder Blue
The whole family's outfits match perfectly.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge just revealed their official Christmas card this morning, and guess what: their Royal Highnesses aren't a "matching Christmas pajamas holiday card" kind of family. The image on the card from Royal Photographer Chris Jackson is much more formal than that, but just as adorable — and just as matchy-matchy as the holiday cards you're probably getting in the mail. Every member of the family is wearing a shade of blue that coordinates perfectly with Kate Middleton's smart powder-blue peplum suit.
This photo was taken earlier this year (which is why Kate Middleton has no sign of a baby bump yet). But Kate didn't go out and buy all-new outfits for this card. Serial outfit repeater that she is, Kate rewore the Catherine Walker suit she wore in the Netherlands last year, according to PopSugar, and she revisited outfits that Prince George and Princess Charlotte have already worn too.
Even though Pantone is calling ultraviolet the color of 2018, Kate Middleton is inspiring us to add some icy blue shades to our wardrobes. Or at least look way in the back of our closets to see if we already have anything that fits the bill, which might be more of Middleton's style.
