Happy birthday, Lady Gaga! The pop singer turned 32 yesterday, and she celebrated her big day by going way back in her photo archives — back before the world knew her as the platinum blonde behind songs like "Bad Romance" and "Poker Face."

Lady Gaga posted a photo of herself from 2007 on Twitter, and it's enough to make you do a double take. Instead of her trademark bright blonde hair, Gaga looked almost goth with dark tresses. She still rocked a bodysuit like no one else though. 

Lady Gaga captioned the photo by writing: "Here’s me in 2007 right before I dyed my hair blonde and released "Just Dance". It’s now 2018 and I’m so blessed to be turning 32 with a fanbase of Little Monsters I’ve watched spread a message of acceptance and kindness for 10 years now." She also asked that fans donate to her fundraiser to support mental health if they wished.

That's such a sweet message to her fans! She dyed her hair, and the rest is history. W got in on Lady Gaga's brunette era too: The magazine posted a throwback photo of the star from its October 2007 issue.

Her hair might be totally different, but that circa-2007 quote is so classic Gaga, though: "I love Dolce & Gabbana. I love Versace. I love the crazy, more eccentric stuff. I can't pay my rent, but I'm f---ing gorgeous.” That statement foretold so many over-the-top fashion moments to come.
